Identify medications that may be counterfeit

by clinik-shop Admin on April 12, 2022

The World Health Organization (WHO) points out that one in 10 medicines sold worldwide is false, which leads to great health dangers due to the toxic potential or the ineffectiveness that this generates in a treatment.

With the intention of avoiding consuming counterfeit medicine, the Federal Commission for the Protection against Health Risks (Cofepris) announces a series of characteristics which original medications must have and advises buying only in pharmacies trustworthy or recognized and not on public roads to prevent products from being apocryphal or already expired.

Concerned about your health, we suggest you review a series of characteristics that original medicines must have and thus avoid consuming counterfeit products.

  • Check that the packaging has holograms and security seals.
  • Check the expiration date, batch number.
  • Check that the information on the active components is broken down in detail.
  • If the price is very low compared to how you get it in other establishments, be wary of those products.
